Since 2016, I have been working as senior researcher for the Sustainable Transport Unit (STU) of the Joint Research Centre (JRC), European Commission.

I am the scientific responsible of the Traffic Modeling group within the STU, working as transportation researcher within the C2ART project, providing support to the JRC activities in Cooperative, Connected and Automated Road Transport. The C2ART project investigates the impact of Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) technologies on future road transport systems, in terms of Traffic Congestion, Emissions and Energy Efficiency (Fuel Consumption and Tractive Energy Consumption), through a combined approach based on traffic modelling and simulation, desktop research and stakeholders’ consultation.
